Fr. John Kochurov (also spelled Kochuroff) was priest at Holy Trinity just before and after the turn of the 20th century. He was instrumental in the construction of the Holy Trinity Cathedral building, and served as a missionary not just to the Chicago area but to Orthodox Christians in many far-flung locales in the United States. In 1907, he returned to Russia, and, in October 1917, was the first priest murdered in the Bolshevik Revolution.

The Martha & Mary Maternity Home Grand Opening Dinner


After years of preparation, the Martha & Mary Maternity Home will be opening! This home seeks to serve pregnant women who find themselves alone or without a safe home through pregnancy and childbirth by offering practical, emotional and spiritual support.

This ministry is operated under the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, but with a pan-Orthodox board.
